Chapel of Saint Blaise

Once located outside the town of Tavira, this small hermitage chapel of late medieval origin was administered by the brotherhood of Saint Blaise

The chapel consists of a single nave and chancel, with the hermit’s house attached. Building works in the second half of the 18th century reshaped it into its current appearance. The main façade features a portal and a bay window with expressive stonework mouldings from the Rococo period.
Inside the temple, there are two notable wooden images, one of the Madonna and the other of the patron saint.
